We are seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and expanding finance function. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad, high-impact role with meaningful exposure across the wider business. Based within a well-established and growing Mid-Ulster organisation, this position offers strong scope for professional development and progression. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering timely and accurate financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making across multiple departments. This opportunity is ideally suited to both qualified accountants and those qualified by experience.

Package & Benefits:

  • £50,000 - £55,000

  • Early finish on Fridays (35hr week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including detailed variance and performance analysis
  • Support the year-end close process and act as a key contact for external auditors
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany or internal recharges
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including capital expenditure monitoring
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and finance agreements (e.g. hire purchase)
  • Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory returns, including UK and ROI VAT
  • Contribute to wider financial reporting requirements and support continuous improvement of systems and processes

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar accounting role
  • Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and financial systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, processes, and compliance requirements
