PMCK Ltd is a well-established electrical contracting business, providing electrical services for prestige clients in the Educational, Industrial and Commercial sectors throughout the UK & Ireland. We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Electrical Testing Engineer to join our team. In this client-focused role, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our existing client base by scheduling and delivering periodic testing services, including EICRs, Emergency Lighting PIRs, and Portable Appliance Testing.
You will also carry out inspection and testing on small maintenance projects, complete comprehensive reports and certifications, and conduct site audits to ensure quality standards are met. This is a largely self-managed role, ideal for someone with a strong sense of initiative who is confident in servicing existing clients while promoting and expanding local testing services.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and develop strong working relationships with an existing client base.
- Schedule and coordinate recurring test work and issue routine reminders to ensure timely compliance with testing requirements.
- Conduct Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), Emergency Lighting Periodic Inspection Reports (PIRs), and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as needed.
- Perform inspection and testing on small-scale maintenance projects across the Maintenance Division.
- Complete accurate and timely reports for all periodic testing and maintenance project works.
- Support contract works by assisting with testing and certification as required.
- Conduct site audits to assess quality and compliance standards.
- Report audit findings to relevant parties and follow up on required actions.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy to manage and prioritise workload.
- Promote and expand local testing services by identifying opportunities within the existing client base and nearby markets.
- Inspection & Testing qualification Essential
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent Preferred
- Experience in producing EICRs, Emergency Lighting PIRs, and PAT reports
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and industry best practices
- Full UK Driving Licence Essential
- Strong IT skills for reporting and certification tasks
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
