About the Role As Commercial Sales Manager for Budget Energy and Flogas Northern Ireland (FLNI), you will lead the development and execution of sales strategies across our B2B energy portfolio. This role is critical in driving customer acquisition, improving profitability, and expanding our market presence across Northern Ireland. You will oversee and support both internal and external sales teamsincluding field representatives and brokerswhile working closely with cross-functional teams across the business to deliver an outstanding commercial customer experience. The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, team leadership, market insight, and operational excellence to help us stay competitive in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets in customer acquisition and profitability as set out by management. Manage and optimize internal and external (field & broker) sales channels. Collaborate with the Republic of Ireland (ROI) direct and broker sales teams, as well as the FES/I&C team, to maximize opportunities in larger B2B markets. Team Development Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, ensuring individual and team development. Carry out regular one to ones with all team members to ensure continuous improvement and development and a drive towards personal & company targets. Product and Proposition Development Contribute to the design and development of competitive products and propositions for the Northern Ireland market. Provide input into marketing and customer engagement programs to support customer acquisition and retention. Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the NI Business to ensure processes in the customer journey align and are supported creating an excellent customer experience. This includes teams in Processing, Billing, Finance and Customer Service Build and maintain strong relationships with the LPG team in Northern Ireland to identify and develop mutually beneficial customer acquisition and retention initiatives. Engage with key stakeholders, including brokers and business partners, to ensure alignment and capitalize on market opportunities. Technology and Systems Work closely with the Systems/IT team to enhance the companys digital presence, including website functionality and digital customer interactions. Leverage the 8Γ8 phone system and explore new technologies to identify and exploit commercial opportunities in the B2B market. Market Insight and Strategy Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions particularly around market position and pricing. Develop and implement innovative strategies to stay ahead in a competitive energy market. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a driven sales leader with a strong background in sales, preferably within the energy or utilities sector, nut not essential. You will have a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, delivering on ambitious sales targets, and building successful partnerships with brokers and business clients. A strategic mindset combined with strong people skills is key, along with the ability to translate market insights into commercial opportunities. You should be adept at balancing short-term results with long-term growth initiatives, and confident working with cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing, finance, customer operations, and IT. Experience using digital tools and CRM systems to enhance commercial performance is a strong advantage.
