The Role
As a Trainee Hearing Care Assistant, you will support private hearing services while delivering excellent patient care and assisting with clinical procedures. You will work under the supervision of an HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser and play an important role in delivering high-quality hearing care.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform otoscopy
- Deliver Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) screenings
- Conduct hearing aid reviews, checks and maintenance
- Carry out ear wax removal (microsuction, irrigation and manual methods)
- Take aural impressions
- Provide empathetic patient care and support
- Assist with home visits when required
Practice Responsibilities
- Assist with diary planning and clinic organisation
- Support team collaboration and patient referrals
- Maintain a professional and welcoming clinic environment
Operational Responsibilities
- Working 30 - 35 Hours per week.
- Maintain high clinical and regulatory standards
- Ensure Health & Safety compliance
- Represent the company with professional conduct and presentation
Requirements
- Hearing Care Experience preferred.
- Being able to travel to England for training essential
- Experience in a customer-facing or healthcare environment
- GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (Grade C or above)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between clinics
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Availability for the required working schedule
Experience: Earwax Removal: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)
