Your new company is a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor delivering a diverse range of infrastructure and groundworks projects throughout Northern Ireland. Specialising in roads, drainage, utilities, site development works, and associated civil engineering projects, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join their successful and expanding team.

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering and groundworks projects, providing both technical and supervisory support on site. Working closely with the Contracts Director, Site Administrators, subcontractors, clients, and statutory bodies, you will ensure projects are delivered to specification while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting out, levelling, and surveying using GPS and site levels.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Providing technical guidance to site teams.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying and reporting any delays or risks.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, quality assurance documentation, and as-built drawings.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in roads, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure schemes.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in GPS surveying equipment, site levels, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office packages.
  • The ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A valid CSR Card (essential).
  • A full UK driving licence.
