Our client is a well-established and growing engineering consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of structural and civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland and the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely whilst contributing to high-profile projects and collaborating with an experienced team of engineers and technicians. Applicants must be based in Northern Ireland.

Your new role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior engineers and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading structural design projects across a range of sectors
  • Reviewing structural calculations, reports, and technical structural analysis and design using industry-standard project programmes
  • Managing budgets and client project meetings
  • Conducting site visits as technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years' post-graduate structural design experience delivering structural projects in the UK
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS, or similar
  • Experience working with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Status (or working towards Chartership) would be advantageous
  • Must be currently living in Northern Ireland
