Location: Parkwood House, Belfast. The entrance to Parkwood House lies off the Malone Road and is well-served by bus Metro Service 8.

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Working Hours: 37 hours - Monday to Friday

Hybrid Working: Mix of working from the office and working from home

About the Role: Reporting to the PMO Manager in the Technology & Innovation department, the successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated, results-driven IT Professional with a proven track record in delivering IT projects/programmes of work to meet business needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and implementing a portfolio of business-focused IT projects within the Energia Group. Our Technology & Innovation department currently has 30 live projects including key business improvements along with several refresh projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior level responsibility for Project Management.
  • Manage multiple high-profile business and IT project deliveries from initiation through implementation and project closure.
  • Management of third-party vendors against agreed work packages.
  • Represent the projects/program and its objectives in governance/compliance/regulatory forums.
  • Assess and report status of all project/programme in an objective manner, maintaining project/programme transparency and accurate status; keeping PMO manager and stakeholders informed.
  • Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate (as needed) projects/programme risks/issues to management and stakeholders as needed.
  • Proactively plan staffing requirements and make dynamic adjustments to maximize resource efficiencies and achieve project/programme results.
  • Accountable for understanding business objectives and how the project/programme delivers them; driving adjustments in project/programme to achieve desired business results more effectively.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes both inside and outside the project/programme.
  • Ability to predict risk areas, design mitigation/contingency strategies and execute these strategies to avoid issues.
  • Ability to lead across a wide variety of IT related project/programme types.
  • Liaising with internal customers to design functional enhancements and identify gaps.
  • Manage and report project/programme costs to management and stakeholders as needed.
  • Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.
  • Deliver projects/programmes in both Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot project issues to resolution with the project team.

About you: Key Criteria What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive experience in delivery IT programmes/projects at a senior level, with the ability to work on complex multi-million-pound programmes/projects.
  • Experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience of successfully delivering multiple projects or large multi-million pound/Euro programmes including preparing and submitting budget proposals, monitoring and reporting of financial information.
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers.

  • PRINCE2/PMP/Agile certification (or equivalent).
