We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller/Senior Accountant to join our client's Belfast-based finance team on an urgent interim basis for a period of 6-9 months. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the business through a critical period of external audit activity and strategic finance projects. This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive professional who can quickly integrate into the organisation and deliver results from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Director throughout the annual audit process.
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate responses to auditor queries.
- Deliver and support key finance transformation and business improvement projects.
- Oversee financial controls, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team where required.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- Strong audit management and project delivery experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
- Immediately available or available at very short notice.
