Position Overview

G4S is seeking a professional, vigilant, and highly motivated Security Officer to join our team in Belfast City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for our clients and the public while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires an individual who can maintain a high level of security awareness and adaptability in a fast-paced urban environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access Control: Maintain robust access controls for personnel and visitors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
  • Surveillance & Vigilance: Maintain a watchful presence at all times, utilizing a vigilant eye for detail to identify and mitigate potential security risks or breaches.
  • Incident Reporting: Demonstrate strong communication skills by accurately reporting sensitive information and documenting activities in line with company policies.
  • Authority Liaison: Effectively liaise with various local authorities and emergency services as required to ensure a coordinated response to site issues.
  • Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow all established security protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company safety policies.
  • Safety Mindset: Prioritize the safety and security of all stakeholders, responding promptly and professionally to alarms or security incidents.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • SIA License: Must hold a valid Security Guard or Door Supervisor license.
  • CCTV Training: Must be willing to undergo and complete CCTV training in support of the position.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, particularly regarding sensitive reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to identify risks and ensure safety.
  • Professionalism: Ability to remain calm and professional while liaising with local authorities.
