The Company: Our client is a global leader in scientific instrumentation, specialising in the development and distribution of high-precision laboratory and process equipment. Their solutions are widely used in pharmaceutical, biopharma, academic, and manufacturing settings, and they are known for innovation, quality, and long-term customer partnerships. With consistent growth in the Irish market, they are expanding their team and now looking to recruit a 2 x Field Sales Representative to manage key accounts and develop new business across Ireland.
The Role: You will be responsible for managing a range of existing customers while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within your territory. You'll be selling scientific and laboratory equipment into a variety of sectors including life sciences, chemicals, biopharma, food and beverage, and academic research. You'll receive full product training and ongoing support. Your first few months will involve a combination of office-based onboarding and hybrid working, and once fully trained, you will typically spend 3 days on the road and 2 days working from home.
What We're Looking For:
- A PhD, MSc or BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Mechanical engineering graduates may also be considered.
- Previous field sales experience is a plus, but not essential - this role is also open to scientists or researchers looking to move into a commercial sales role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical products clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Confident, self-motivated, and well-organised.
- Full clean driving licence required!
