GenTech Recruitment are currently recruiting Resource Advisors for a temporary public sector contract based in Belfast. This role will involve working as part of a busy waste management team, supporting environmental and recycling initiatives, engaging with the public, gathering information, and helping to improve waste management services across the local area.
Duties will include:
- Providing advice and guidance to members of the public and businesses on waste management, recycling and environmental sustainability
- Supporting the roll-out of recycling schemes and awareness campaigns
- Carrying out surveys, data collection and follow-up visits
- Using handheld devices, laptops and internal systems to record and update information
- Responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner
- Assisting with waste-related projects, container deployment and service improvements
- Liaising with internal departments, contractors, residents and external stakeholders
- Driving shared vehicles as required
Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must have a full, current UK driving licence
- At least 1 year’s relevant experience in the workplace, including:
- Dealing with members of the public face-to-face, including difficult or confrontational situations
- Compiling and analysing service information
- Supporting marketing, promotional activities or events
