Mydas Recruitment are experts in the sourcing and supply of Engineers to leading organisations. Due to continued growth, our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, based in Northern Ireland, have a requirement for a quality inspector to work with multifunctional teams throughout the organisation, to ensure that products are delivered to meet costs, quality & schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out product inspections and Quality Control / Quality Assurance activities
  • Ensuring product compliance with design, customer and regulatory authority requirements and regulations
  • Providing instruction and advice to operators as and when required
  • Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme
  • Working flexibly in groups and on shifts
  • Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies to instigate investigation and corrective action

Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed a recognised apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years relevant post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing/assembly or tooling environment
  • An ONC or equivalent qualification is desirable. However, applicants with lesser qualifications and additional relevant knowledge and experience will be considered
  • The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and to communicate effectively is essential
  • Candidates must be familiar with quality control requirements and have at least 3 years previous experience in the aerospace industry
