Job Description
Are you ready to support our talented team on water modelling projects and help us shape the future of the water industry? Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Clean Water Modeller in our rapidly growing Belfast office whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hydraulic modelling input on our portfolio of water utility projects. You will form part of our strong multi-disciplinary team delivering varied and interesting projects for a variety of public and private clients in the UK and Ireland. Typical projects will likely include:
- Network model building, calibration and analysis
- Asset management and planning projects
- Accelerated growth and water resource strategy
- Network analysis projects
Here's what you'll do:
- Expertise: Provide technical lead on the delivery of outputs of modelling and engineering projects.
- Engage: Work with clients to support framework mining and work winning.
- Lead: Coordinate Field Teams and effectively delegate tasks as project workload and deadlines demand.
- Visit: Sites and liaise locally with clients and work alongside our global team in supporting project delivery.
- Deliver: Model build and calibration, optioneering of design solutions, feasibility and asset management/planning analysis, produce reports and technical documentation, and complete health and safety risk assessment (field testing).
- Support: Undertake a technical mentoring role for more junior members of staff.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or another related discipline.
- Experience working in hydraulic network modelling and designing technical specifications and scopes of works for projects.
- Understanding of, and experience using, GIS and either Infoworks WS Pro or Synergi.
- Experience of technically reviewing projects/models, providing design and optioneering input, and preparation of proposals.
- Obtained or working towards chartership with CIWEM, ICE or similar.
