Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading global manufacturing employer to recruit an Operations Supervisor for their site in Belfast. As an Operations Supervisor you will:

  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring consistent achievement of targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement.
  • Coordinate and assign resources (personnel, materials, equipment, systems) to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Track daily KPIs, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Train, support, and mentor team members to strengthen capability and enable succession planning.
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset by leading Lean initiatives and change programmes that boost operational performance.
  • Manage the Daily Management process, ensuring clear visibility of performance and effective communication through tiered meetings and structured shift handovers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to enhance processes and drive business growth.
  • Contribute to proactive recruitment and workforce planning, using capacity and competency tools to align production capability with customer demand.
  • Ensure consistent and effective performance management within the Operations team.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and positive work environment in line with regulatory and company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the development of Operations strategy as required.
  • Take ownership of NC/CAPA and carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Ideally you will have:

  • 5+ years of industry experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Level 6 or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in driving process or continuous improvement initiatives (Green Belt or above) preferred.
