A leading commercial law firm is seeking to appoint a Licensing Associate to join its growing Belfast team. This is a unique opportunity to develop a specialist practice within one of Northern Ireland's most active licensing teams, advising a high-profile client base across the hospitality, leisure, retail and licensed trade sectors.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of licensing matters, working closely with clients on applications, transfers, variations and regulatory issues. The role also offers involvement in related commercial property, corporate and commercial matters, providing a varied and interesting workload.

The Role

  • Advising clients on all aspects of licensing law
  • Managing licensing applications, transfers and renewals
  • Attending and preparing for licensing hearings and advocacy opportunities
  • Supporting corporate transactions involving licensed premises
  • Working closely with hospitality, leisure and retail sector clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or due to qualify in 2026
