Ideal role for an advanced CCNA or a CCNP level engineer looking to expand their knowledge of network, security and cloud technologies.

The Network Operations Engineer III will be responsible for supporting CME's network infrastructure through monitoring, troubleshooting and change implementation using Industry Standard Best Practices. The Network Operations Engineer III will ensure the ongoing operation of service to end users and customers by ensuring that service is operated within agreed service levels, and in alignment to agreed policies, processes, and standards. The role will be key to ensuring the overall platform stability and its sustained delivery to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as first responders, helping to organize and control incident response.
  • Day to day monitoring and management of our platforms to ensure that internal SLAs, operational KPIs and quality standards are met.
  • Handling complex technical support issues.
  • Ability to support network faults, to conclusion in a multi vendor, multi-appliance infrastructure.
  • Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests.
  • Day-to-day Technical Operations activities (including, but not limited to network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, infrastructure and firmware updates).
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the operational systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate troubleshooting records through industry standard ticketing systems.
  • Writing technical SOPs and other documentation.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in a fast paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience).
  • In-depth support experience of LAN & WAN technologies: R/S: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures.
  • Exposure to firewalls, and load balancing with an understanding of: Security Posture: Firewalling, ACLs, industry best practice, Internet architectures.
  • Load Balancing: F5 LB, iRules, persistence, etc.
  • VPN: IPSec and SSL.
  • Understanding of Wireless technologies.
  • Understanding/experience with ISO and ITIL standards.
  • Experience Supporting or Working with Cloud Technologies.

Desirable:

  • Enterprise R&S certification (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
  • Enterprise Firewall Certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Enterprise Wireless Certification (Aruba, Meraki, etc.).
  • Cloud Certification - GCP (Preferable) / AWS / Azure Certification.
  • Toolset Management experience (Solarwinds, or similar).
  • WCA (Wireshark Certified) - or experience with hardware based packet capture systems.
  • Multicast: PIM-SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP.
