Alliance Medical are recruiting for a Medical Administrator to join our busy and friendly team at our centre in Holywood Road, Belfast. This is a full-time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week) with working hours between Monday and Friday, 7:15am - 8:15pm. The candidate is required to be flexible between Monday and Friday, 7:15am - 8:15pm and in busier times Saturday and Sunday, 7:15am - 8:15pm. Typical shift patterns are: 7:15 - 8:15 x 3 a week.
This role will suit an individual who is enthusiastic and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is key. The successful candidates will be involved in confirming and scheduling radiology appointments, updating systems, making and receiving phone calls, being the first point of contact to the patients when they arrive at the centre, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule and confirm radiology appointments with sensitivity and precision.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and manage appointment-related queries.
- Accurately update patient records and internal booking systems.
- Work closely with radiology and clinical staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide consistent, compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their visit.
- Assist Radiographers and act as a chaperone if required for the patients and clinicians' benefit.
- Provide reassurance to patients by way of clear explanation as to the nature of an examination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
