The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 € per year.
The post holder will be required to carry out and assist with the mechanical maintenance, monitoring and repair internally and externally to buildings, associated equipment and areas within the University. Due to the nature of the role the post holder must be available for out of hours work (including statutory holiday periods) and be on a call out rota (if required).
About The Person
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Relevant academic vocational qualification in a mechanical trade (plumbing/heating/building services) e.g NVQ 2 (or equivalent). OR Time served plumber/fitter
- Substantial recent relevant experience in a plumbing role maintaining building, systems and plant in a similar environment to the University
- Practical working knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems
- Competent in the use of IT packages to include Microsoft Office
- Understanding of relevant Health and Safety requirements
- Organisational and time management skills with ability to plan and organise short term activities and events
- Valid full UK driving license.
