Nixon McQuade are delighted to be working with a well-established Belfast-based law firm, who are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong conveyancing secretary to step into a hands-on role supporting the full property transaction lifecycle within a supportive and close-knit environment.

The Role

  • You will provide comprehensive secretarial support within a busy conveyancing department, assisting fee earners with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Duties will include:
    • Audio and copy typing of conveyancing documents and correspondence
    • Preparing contracts, completion statements and legal documentation
    • Managing files from instruction through to post-completion
    • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
    • Handling Land Registry submissions and property searches
    • Managing diaries, key dates and appointments
    • Maintaining accurate case management systems and file records
    • General administrative duties to support the wider team

The Person

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing
  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process
  • Excellent audio typing and document production skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a professional manner
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently
