The Role
Staffline Recruitment Ireland are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of our client, to support young people across a range of training and employability programmes. This is a temporary agency role. You will provide additional learning and disability support to young people (aged 16-22) participating in training programmes such as Training for Success and Apprenticeships NI.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group-based support to young people with additional needs
- Assist tutors by ensuring participants can fully engage in learning
- Support individuals to build confidence, independence, and motivation
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and progress tracking
- Work closely with programme teams to monitor progress and outcomes
About You
- Experience working with young people or individuals with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisation and time management
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- IT literate (Microsoft Office etc.)
- Flexible and adaptable approach
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) including Maths & English
- Experience supporting individuals to achieve goals/progression
Important Information
- This role is offered on a temporary agency basis via Staffline Recruitment Ireland
- Candidates must be willing to travel to various locations
- Enhanced Access NI check required
- Before you are invited for an interview, you will be required to complete an online entrance assessment which you must pass in order to progress to interview stage
- Mandatory 2.5 hour induction in Newry
