The Role

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of our client, to support young people across a range of training and employability programmes. This is a temporary agency role. You will provide additional learning and disability support to young people (aged 16-22) participating in training programmes such as Training for Success and Apprenticeships NI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group-based support to young people with additional needs
  • Assist tutors by ensuring participants can fully engage in learning
  • Support individuals to build confidence, independence, and motivation
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and progress tracking
  • Work closely with programme teams to monitor progress and outcomes

About You

  • Experience working with young people or individuals with additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisation and time management
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable approach

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) including Maths & English
  • Experience supporting individuals to achieve goals/progression

Important Information

  • This role is offered on a temporary agency basis via Staffline Recruitment Ireland
  • Candidates must be willing to travel to various locations
  • Enhanced Access NI check required
  • Before you are invited for an interview, you will be required to complete an online entrance assessment which you must pass in order to progress to interview stage
  • Mandatory 2.5 hour induction in Newry
