VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading technology organisation to recruit a Senior Kotlin Software Engineer for a major platform modernisation programme. This is a high-impact contract focused on developing modern Kotlin applications as part of a large-scale platform transformation, delivering secure, high-performance software supporting next-generation payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade Kotlin applications
- Contribute to the modernisation of a large-scale platform
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on system design and technical decisions
- Write clean, scalable and well-tested code
- Support integration, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- Work within Agile teams to deliver key project milestones
Essential Skills
- Strong commercial Kotlin development experience
- 5+ years' software engineering experience
- Strong object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Experience building scalable, enterprise applications
- Agile development experience
Desirable
- Platform migration or modernisation projects
- Payments, FinTech or regulated industry experience
- JVM performance tuning, embedded systems or cloud technologies
