About the Role

Balloo Hire is looking for an ambitious, driven, and people-focused Internal Sales Manager to lead and develop our Internal Sales Executive team. This is a key leadership role within a fast-paced and growing hire business, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on team performance, customer experience, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to sales support, customer relationship management, and commercial performance. You will play a vital role in driving sales growth, supporting team development, improving internal processes, and ensuring high standards across all hire administration and reporting functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and manage the Internal Sales Executive team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Conduct regular monthly and quarterly 1-2-1 meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to support personal development and continuous improvement. Foster a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service. Identify & implement training and development requirements to strengthen product knowledge, systems usage, and sales capability.
  • Sales & Customer Management: Support the team in managing inbound sales enquiries and converting opportunities into hire orders. Assist with customer account management, helping to build and maintain strong long-term relationships with both new and existing clients. Work collaboratively with external sales teams and operational departments to maximise revenue opportunities and deliver excellent service levels. Step in to assist with quotations, order processing, and customer queries during periods of high demand.
  • Operational & Compliance Oversight: Complete mandatory weekly and monthly audits and reporting checks, including: Items on hire and off hire, Invoice and documentation accuracy, Contract reviews and closure processes, Outstanding purchase orders (POs). Ensure all internal systems, hire records, and administrative processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. Monitor KPIs and departmental performance, producing reports and insights for senior management. Continuously review processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer experience, and commercial performance.
  • Collaboration & Business Growth: Work closely with management to support wider business objectives and sales strategies. Contribute ideas and initiatives that help drive business growth and operational improvement. Promote a positive and professional image of Balloo Hire across all customer interactions.
