Part-Time HR Generalist / HR Advisor Belfast | Permanent | 20 Hours per Week £38,000 - £42,000 Pro-rata

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a meaningful part-time HR role without compromising on impact? We are partnering with a forward-thinking, fast-paced organisation based in Belfast to recruit a Part-Time HR Generalist / HR Advisor on a permanent basis. This is a standalone HR role where you will truly own the function, working closely with senior leadership to shape culture, ensure best practice, and deliver an exceptional employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and influence - and who values a healthy work-life balance.

The Role

As the HR lead, you'll be responsible for the full HR agenda, combining hands-on operational delivery with strategic input. You'll be trusted as a key advisor to leadership and a go-to expert for managers and employees alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Employee Lifecycle: Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement initiatives and offboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and general HR advice.
  • Policy & Compliance: Own and maintain the employee handbook, ensuring all practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation (including GDPR and the Equality Act).
  • Payroll & Benefits: Oversee or directly process monthly payroll and administer benefits such as pensions and healthcare.
  • Strategic HR Support: Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, talent strategy and organisational change, including restructures where required.
  • Learning & Development: Identify skills gaps and coordinate internal and external training solutions.
  • Office Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations, facilities and ensure health & safety compliance.

About You

Experience: 3-5+ years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an SME or standalone capacity.

Qualifications: CIPD qualified (or working towards).

Knowledge & Skills: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law. Comfortable working independently and managing a diverse workload. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Confident using HR systems (e.g. BreatheHR, PeopleHR or similar).

What's on Offer

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (prorated for 20 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm (with flexibility around start and finish times)
