Overview: The Heating Installer will be responsible for the installation of heating systems, including boilers, radiators, pipework, and controls, in domestic or commercial properties. The role involves working to high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install boilers, radiators, heating controls, hot water cylinders, and associated pipework
- Work from drawings and specifications to complete installations efficiently and accurately
- Carry out full system conversions, boiler swaps, and upgrades
- Ensure all work meets current safety and building regulations (e.g., Gas Safe, Part L)
- Conduct system testing and commissioning, ensuring systems are operational and efficient
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment on-site
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including job sheets and commissioning records
- Report any issues, delays, or changes to the site manager or supervisor
The Ideal Person:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)
- Experience installing domestic or commercial heating systems
- Strong understanding of heating system layouts, controls, and pipework techniques
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Gas Safe registered (or working under a registered engineer) with valid ACS qualifications (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT)
- Unvented hot water (G3) qualification
- Experience with underfloor heating systems
- Knowledge of renewable technologies (e.g., air source heat pumps)
- CSCS CSR card
Key Skills & Attributes:
