The role of General Labourer will be central to supporting ongoing construction and maintenance projects across multiple sites. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of building, bricklaying, and site operations while helping maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general labouring duties including site preparation, clearance, and maintenance
- Completing bricklaying, blockwork, and basic masonry tasks
- Undertaking general construction and building maintenance work
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment safely
- Operating effectively within site teams to ensure projects progress efficiently
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Identifying and resolving minor site issues using initiative and practical problem-solving skills
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in construction, labouring, or bricklaying
- Good understanding of building practices and site safety procedures
- Valid Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to work
Desirable Criteria
- While not essential, the following would be advantageous:
- Valid CSCS/CSR Card
- Experience in bricklaying or blockwork
- Relevant construction or trade certifications
