Our client is a professional body providing employment law and HR support, training, and advice to businesses across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. They are now seeking a Solicitor or Barrister to join their highly respected team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-quality employment law matters. The role offers the chance to provide expert advice, advocacy, and training while being supported by a long established, people focused organisation. This role would ideally suit a lawyer with 25 years + PQE and a passion for employment law. However, candidates with less experience who can demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to specialising in this field will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising member businesses on a wide range of employment law matters.
- Providing clear, practical guidance and representation on HR and workplace issues.
- Carrying out your own advocacy with training and support provided.
- Delivering training sessions and workshops to members.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a collaborative and professional service.
- Contributing to the development of resources, updates, and guidance materials for members.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister.
- 25 years PQE in employment law preferred (other experience considered if passion for the area is demonstrated).
- Strong advocacy skills, with the ability and confidence to represent clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
- Strong interest in training, learning and development.
