A leading commercial law firm is seeking an Employment Associate (1-3 years' PQE) to join its highly regarded Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment solicitor to work on complex, high-profile employment matters for major UK and international clients. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad mix of contentious and advisory work, including Employment Tribunal litigation, restructuring projects, senior executive issues, corporate transactions and cross-border employment matters.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative and well-resourced employment team, you will advise clients across a wide range of sectors on:

  • Employment law and HR advisory matters
  • Employment Tribunal claims and litigation
  • Restructuring and redundancy exercises
  • Discrimination, whistleblowing and grievance issues
  • Senior executive and board-level employment matters
  • Employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing projects
  • International and cross-border employment law issues

You will work closely with experienced employment specialists on strategic projects, complex disputes and business-critical workforce matters for a high-quality client base.

About You

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 1-3 years' PQE and a strong grounding in employment law gained within a commercial practice. You will ideally have experience in:

  • Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Advisory employment law work
  • Restructuring and redundancy matters
  • Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
  • Senior employee relations issues

Experience supporting corporate transactions, outsourcing projects or cross-border matters would be advantageous but is not essential. You will also possess:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client management abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
