S C Rewinds Ltd is seeking a skilled Electric Motor Rewinder to join our engineering team in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, overhaul, and rewinding of a wide range of electric motors and associated rotating equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical ability, attention to detail, and pride in high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dismantling, inspecting, and fault-finding on AC and DC electric motors
  • Stripping and rewinding stators, armatures, and coils
  • Reassembling and testing motors to ensure correct performance
  • Using workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Completing job sheets and maintaining accurate records
  • Working to deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Supporting general workshop duties as required

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience as an Electric Motor Rewinder or similar role
  • Strong understanding of motor winding techniques and repair processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with pumps, gearboxes, or other rotating equipment
  • Knowledge of testing equipment (e.g., surge testers, megger, growler)
  • Full UK driving licence
