We are working with a leading digital technology consultancy to appoint an experienced Delivery Manager. This is a senior role for someone who has built their career delivering complex bespoke software programmes within a consulting environment - ideally with strong public sector exposure, particularly healthcare.
You will own delivery outcomes, lead agile teams, manage client relationships at a senior level, and take accountability for the commercial performance of your programmes.

Job Description
- Lead end-to-end delivery of bespoke software projects, ensuring outcomes meet client expectations, quality standards, and governance requirements
- Own project financials including budget management, forecasting, and profitability reporting for programmes of £2M+
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior public sector clients across both technical and leadership levels
- Manage risks and issues proactively, ensuring appropriate governance throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Coach, develop and empower delivery teams - setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering a high-performance culture
- Lead on resourcing, staffing, and onboarding across agile delivery teams
- Identify and support follow-on business opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Account Management
- Champion agile best practice and continuous improvement across your projects
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager within a consulting or professional services environment - this is a must-have
- At least 3 years delivering bespoke software projects using agile methodology for external clients
- Public sector experience is essential, with healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Track record managing programme budgets of £2M or more, with confidence in financial forecasting and reporting
- Strong people leadership skills - both direct management and influence across complex stakeholder environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with credibility at senior client level
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in digital transformation programmes
- Evidence of securing follow-on business with existing clients
- A current Project or Programme Management certification (e.g. Prince2, APM, SAFe)
