Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Customer Order Coordinator to join our client, a well-established organisation based in the Clarendon Dock area of Belfast.
Position: Customer Order Coordinator
Location: Belfast (with very occasional travel within Ireland and the UK)
Duration: Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.33 per hour
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service, administration and order processing experience to join a busy, fast-paced team where accuracy, communication and organisation are key. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting customers from order placement through to delivery, ensuring information is processed accurately and internal teams are kept updated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Liaise with internal teams including planning, production, and finance to resolve queries and prioritize orders.
- Track order progress and update customers as required.
- Support the customer service team in daily operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a high level of responsiveness and professionalism.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Manager and peers to ensure team objectives are met.
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience in customer service, order processing or administration.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident using internal systems, with ERP experience desirable.
- Proactive, team-focused and able to prioritise workload effectively.
- Experience within animal feed, agriculture, logistics, manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous.
Desirable:
- Experience working with order management or ERP systems.
- Background in animal nutrition, agriculture, feed, production or supply chain.
