VANRATH are recruiting a contract IT Project Manager for an organisation based in Greater Belfast. This exciting role involves working across multiple digital transformation projects. It's an excellent opportunity to join one of NI's leading organisations and a longstanding client of VANRATH. The role is hybrid working, anticipated to be for an initial duration of 6 months and full time 5 days per week. You will be reporting into an existing Programme Manager for outputs.
You must have excellent experience managing all aspects of project budget, experience of software upgrade projects and managing delivery teams (internal and external). This contract is initially for 6 months with a potential for further extension.
Remuneration: This role will pay £550 per day (inside IR35 via Umbrella provider).
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Running the project and ensuring that we are able to meet deadlines, budgets, resource needs and deliver on our promises.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Coordinating internal resources and sometimes third parties/vendors for the seamless execution of projects.
- Communicating with customers in different roles and handle their different expectations.
- Assess risks to project time, quality and scope, and develop contingencies/mitigation strategies with project stakeholders.
- Manage project budget, including revenue recognition and invoicing tasks in coordination with the Finance Department.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
The Ideal Person:
- Experience dealing with client teams at a Senior Manager level.
- A strong technical background and experience of utilities (desirable).
- At least 10 years experience delivering complex Digital, IT, Data or business transformation projects for large organisations.
- Track record of successful project delivery using PRINCE2 project management methodology or similar and extensive experience in methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall.
