A leading professional services firm is seeking to appoint an experienced Consulting Manager to join its growing advisory practice. This role is suited to individuals with a strong background in strategy, operating model design, process optimisation and large-scale transformation delivery. The successful candidate will bring structured thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to shape and deliver complex change programmes for clients across financial services, public sector and broader industries.
The Opportunity
You will work directly with senior client stakeholders to define strategic direction, redesign operating models and lead end-to-end transformation initiatives. The role combines diagnostic analysis, solution design and hands-on implementation oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic reviews and target operating model design engagements
- Delivering process optimisation and organisational redesign programmes
- Supporting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives from mobilisation through to embedding
- Managing multi-disciplinary project teams and workstreams
- Developing client-ready reports, board-level materials and transformation roadmaps
- Building trusted relationships with senior executives and functional leaders
- Supporting business development activity including proposals and thought leadership
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is particularly well suited to candidates with experience gained within:
- Big Four Advisory / Consulting practices
- Tier-one or boutique strategy and transformation consultancies
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in strategy development and execution
- Strong exposure to operating model design and implementation
- Deep understanding of business process re-engineering and optimisation
- Experience delivering complex transformation programmes (digital, regulatory, organisational or operational)
- Ability to move between high-level strategic thinking and detailed execution planning
- Strong stakeholder management capability at executive level
- Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to practice growth
- Project management capability is expected, but this role requires broader transformation and advisory experience beyond pure PM delivery.
