As part of this continued growth, I am recruiting for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join the team.
This is a great opportunity for a solicitor looking for a role where they can take genuine ownership of their work, manage their own caseload and play an important part in the continued development of a growing clinical negligence practice. The firm has an established reputation across clinical negligence, personal injury and wider litigation, acting for clients across a range of complex and challenging matters.
You will work alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative environment, with the opportunity to develop your expertise, take on responsibility and work on high-quality cases.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters and will have responsibility for progressing your cases from initial instruction through to resolution. Your role will include: Managing your own clinical negligence caseload. Advising clients throughout the lifecycle of their claims. Assessing the merits of claims and developing appropriate case strategies. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, correspondence, witness statements and other legal documentation. Progressing matters through the County Court and High Court.
Instructing and liaising with Counsel and medical experts. Reviewing medical records and other evidence. Conducting legal research and applying relevant legislation and case law. Managing disclosure and discovery requirements. Preparing matters for hearings, settlement and trial. Maintaining strong client relationships and providing regular updates. Managing case files effectively and ensuring deadlines are met. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider litigation team. This is a role where you will have real responsibility for your own work, with the support of an experienced team around you.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor who is confident managing their own caseload and enjoys working directly with clients. You will ideally have: Strong experience in clinical negligence litigation. Experience managing your own caseload from instruction through to resolution. A good understanding of the Northern Ireland litigation process. Strong legal drafting, research and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. The ability to assess complex information and identify key legal issues.
Strong communication and client relationship skills. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities. A practical, professional and client-focused approach. The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team. Experience with legal case management systems would be advantageous. Why Consider This Role?
