Vickerstock are working in partnership with a local, multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Civil Technician to join their Belfast team. This role will suit a technician with experience in the water and wastewater sector, who enjoys working on technically challenging infrastructure projects and contributing to the delivery of essential utility schemes. You will be joining a collaborative design team working across a broad portfolio of projects supporting the planning, upgrade, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Your new role as Civil Technician:
- Support the engineering team in producing detailed technical drawings and models across a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Produce 2D drawings and 3D models for civil engineering projects within the water and wastewater sector.
- Support the design of infrastructure such as pumping stations, treatment works, pipelines, and associated site infrastructure.
- Prepare general arrangements, sections, and construction drawings in line with project requirements.
- Work closely with engineers to translate design concepts into coordinated technical outputs.
- Assist with the preparation of design documentation and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate drawings with other disciplines to ensure consistency and accuracy across project information.
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure outputs comply with project specifications and industry standards.
What you'll need to succeed as Civil Technician:
- Experience working as a Civil Technician within an engineering consultancy or design environment.
- Previous involvement in water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong capability in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- An understanding of civil engineering design and construction principles.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop technical skills further.
