The Home Oak Tree Manor is a beautiful, modern care and nursing home in Dunmurry, Lisburn. Enjoying a quiet location with lovely views, this bright and spacious residence offers professional, person-centred care for people over the age of 65, including those living with dementia, requiring nursing or palliative attention. We create a comfortable home-from-home environment, where residents can feel safe and relaxed. The facilities available within the home are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the benefit of 24 hour support and care around the clock.

Offering an optimal care and wellbeing service, you can expect our kind and compassionate carers and nurses, who are highly-trained and experienced, to truly listen to our residents individual needs and wishes, and follow their bespoke care plans. Plus, our whole team approach to wellbeing means that everyone feels part of our lovely, welcoming community. The accommodation at Oak Tree Manor features attractively decorated and beautifully furnished private bedrooms, complete with en suite bathrooms and pleasant views. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.

About the role: As a Care Team Leader at Healthcare Ireland, you'll be all about professionalism, kindness, and compassion. The Care Team Leader role requires you to plan and provide high-quality care that makes our residents feel safe, respected, and independent. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring they are keeping up with the highest care standards. Keeping accurate records and communicating well with your colleagues are key parts of your role. Our Care Team Leaders also support the Home Manager and Deputy Manager, giving physical, social, and emotional care to residents. You will handle medication and make sure everything is in order with medication audits.

About The Role Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care while promoting residents dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and timely care records in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Take responsibility for the smooth running of the home/unit during shifts and deputise for management when required.
  • Administer and manage medication safely in accordance with company policies and national guidelines.
  • Support, supervise, and mentor care staff, identifying training and development needs.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, rota planning, and attendance monitoring.
  • Ensure residents personal care needs are met to the highest standard, including hygiene, dressing, and meal support.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and respect for residents cultural, religious, and personal values.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and infection-controlled environment, reporting any health & safety or maintenance concerns.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation, company policies, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a positive role model approach at all times.
