We are a Belfast-based Clinical Research Organisation that specialises in delivering compliance excellence for companies in the precision medicine sector.
Job Purpose
As Business Development Manager in precision medicine, you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and developing strategies to market and sell a range of specialised regulatory, clinical, laboratory and technology services to pharma/diagnostic companies. You will work as part of ARC's Commercial team, reporting into the CEO. You will seek out business opportunities and collaborations in the delivery of ARC's global commercial strategy and implementation with specific emphasis on NEW sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new sales for the commercial team, including identifying new targets, preparing new quotes, organising and scheduling meetings and working with marketing to prepare sales-engagement tools.
- Conduct market research, analyse market trends, identify customer needs, and assess competition.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with new customers and stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.
- Work closely with Marketing and other departments to ensure that products and services meet customer and market demand.
- Coordinate training and customer support activities to ensure customer satisfaction and successful launch of new products/services.
- Support Management in identifying and attending trade shows, conferences, and other industry events, as well as developing and maintaining a network of key opinion leaders, distributors, and partners to drive growth and expansion of the business.
- Act as customer interface for webinars, seminars and key industry events.
- Coordinate activities related to lead generation, follow-up and tracking.
- Record contractual agreements between the company and vendors, suppliers or clients, and ensure that all parties are aware of the contracts terms and conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date information on pricing, promotional activities, and product launches and communicate them regularly to the commercial and marketing teams.
- Work collaboratively with other functions to drive cross-functional projects to completion, adhering to strict timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain CRM HubSpot Contacts, ensuring new contacts are assigned to appropriate list categories.
- Identify and undertake ongoing professional development linked to personal objectives to ensure continued awareness of current sales and marketing standards.
- Utilise Account-based marketing (ABM) to support ARC's long-term growth.
- Contribute to ARC company culture initiatives to maintain a positive and engaging workforce.
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the management.
Essential Criteria
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Studies, or a related field.
- A professional sales certificate such as CPS, CISP and/or CSOP.
- 5-10 years of sales experience in a similar role, ideally in the precision medicine sector is highly preferred.
- Experience of writing customer quotes.
- Attention to detail and proof-reading skills are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with clients and colleagues alike.
- Linguistic ability in at least one European language (besides English) and ability to speak Asian languages are a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data management.
- Knowledge of HubSpot CRM software.
