Simon Community NI, Northern Ireland's leading homelessness charity, is seeking to appoint three new Board Members. Homelessness across Northern Ireland continues to present a significant and growing societal challenge. For over 50 years, Simon Community has been at the forefront of addressing this issue, delivering prevention services, temporary accommodation, and long-term housing solutions to support individuals and families in need.

As the organisation looks to the future, these appointments will strengthen the Board and support the next phase of strategic development, governance, and organisational growth. We are particularly interested in individuals who bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Advocacy, public affairs or lobbying
  • Health and social care
  • Charity and/or housing sector
  • Digital and technology

Simon Community welcomes applications from people with lived experience of homelessness or housing insecurity, whose insight and perspective would bring valuable contribution to the Board's work. The successful candidates will join a committed and experienced Board, contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation, supporting effective governance, and ensuring Simon Community continues to deliver high-impact services across Northern Ireland.

This is an opportunity for individuals with strong leadership experience to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation addressing one of the most pressing social issues in the region.

Time Commitment: Approximately four Board meetings per year, plus sub-committee involvement.
