BlackFox Solutions are delighted to be working alongside a Bangor based Accountancy practice, to recruit for their new position as an Experienced Accounts Technician! Offering a strong starting salary dependant on experience and the chance to assist with their growing professional development, this is a great opportunity for any qualified accountancy professionals.

Joining as part of their established finance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and supporting a small bookkeeping & VAT team
  • Preparing VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
  • Processing bookkeeping records where required
  • Reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping prepared by team members
  • Ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely submission of all work
  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies and improved processes within the department
  • Supporting the wider team with bookkeeping and VAT queries
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in VAT and bookkeeping within a practice environment
  • Confident managing and developing a team
  • Previously qualified - ATI or equivalent
  • Proactive, with a focus on improving systems and efficiencies
  • A strong communicator, both internally and with clients
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing workloads
