McKinty Associates are delighted to be working with a multi-site construction business who have an immediate need for an experienced Assistant Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the main requirement for the role is as follows:
- Purchase Ledger
- Posting invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Sales Ledger
- Calculating and reconciling works schedule
- Raising invoicing
- Posting receipts
- Accounts payable
- Maintaining supplier payment schedule
- Processing and reconciling supplier payments
- Processing and payment of wages
- Processing and payment of Subcontractors
- HMRC/PAYE Monthly returns
- CIS Returns
- Month End Bank Reconciliations
- Analysis and reporting on Project performance
- Other adhoc duties as required
Eligibility criteria:
- Qualification - we will consider someone who is qualified by experience or Accounting Technician (AAT / ATI Qualified)
- Previous Construction experience (Desirable)
- Experience working as part of a busy finance team (Minimum 3 years)
- Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
