Whytematter Staffing Solutions are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their growing team based in Bangor. The Role

As an Accounts & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for a range of duties across bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and accounts preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing client bookkeeping records accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for limited companies and sole traders
  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll, including resolving any payroll queries or errors
  • Ensuring weekly reports are completed and delivered in a timely manner
  • Supporting the wider team with additional finance-related tasks as required

About You

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • A minimum of 1 years experience in accounts and payroll processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Dext
  • Experience using BrightPay payroll software would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
