Your new role includes:

  • Producing 3D models of parts & assemblies.
  • Producing 2D detail drawings of parts and 2D assembly drawings.
  • Producing electrical harness routing and equipment layouts.
  • Producing 2D and 3D PDFs of electrical harness and equipment layouts.
  • Assembly and BOM configuration.
  • Releasing engineering drawings following company release procedures.
  • Change management of engineering drawings following company release procedures.
  • Supporting prototype hardware build through NPI development.
  • Contributing to design solutions.
  • Working collaboratively as part of an integrated project team.
  • Delivering work packages to the project plan.
  • Working within the company procedures as laid out in the Design Office Handbook.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environment.
  • Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as AutoCad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc.
  • Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production.
  • Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

Desirable:

  • Experience of Electrical Design within a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Previous 3D Harness routing or Pipe routing experience.
  • Previous experience writing test plans/reports.
