Specialist Vehicle Manufacturer £30,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + Training. VANRATH are assisting a well-established specialist automotive business in the Ballymena area with the recruitment of a Vehicle Technician to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and highly regarded company specialising in bespoke commercial and utility vehicle builds, servicing and modifications.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the workshop, carrying out a wide range of servicing, repair and fitting duties to a consistently high standard. The client is keen to speak with solid, dependable technicians who are confident handling day-to-day workshop activities independently and efficiently.

The Role

The successful Vehicle Technician will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, repair and maintenance work to a high standard
  • Fitting accessories, towing equipment and specialist vehicle components
  • Carrying out clutch work and general mechanical repairs
  • Basic diagnostics and fault finding
  • Inspecting vehicles and identifying mechanical issues
  • Working independently while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Supporting workshop efficiency and maintaining high-quality workmanship standards
The Person

Applicants should have:

  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and workshop experience
  • Confidence carrying out servicing and general repair work independently
  • Experience with diagnostics and fault finding desirable
  • Ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills effectively
  • A positive attitude and reliable work ethic

This role would suit a technician who is beyond newly qualified level and comfortable managing core workshop duties confidently, though full Master Technician status is not required.
