The Role

This is a delivery-focused Project Manager role responsible for commercial projects within live hotel environments. You will take ownership for the successful delivery of projects from planning through to completion and handover, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives to ensure projects are delivered smoothly with minimal disruption to operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small-to-medium commercial projects concurrently
  • Work closely with Site Managers and site teams to coordinate project delivery
  • Plan works around live hotel operations
  • Drive programme and sequencing to avoid disruption
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and support resolution of site issues

Programme & Planning

  • Build and maintain clear project programmes
  • Coordinate out-of-hours / phased works where required
  • Identify risks early and adjust delivery approach

Subcontractor Management

  • Coordinate trades across active hotel environments
  • Maintain standards on quality, tidiness, and professionalism
  • Ensure works are completed efficiently and safely

Client Interface

  • Act as key contact for hotel General Managers / Duty Managers
  • Communicate daily / weekly plans clearly
  • Build trust through reliability and delivery

Commercial Awareness

  • Work alongside QS to support commercial control
  • Manage variations
  • Assist with small works pricing
  • Monitor budgets and cost risks

Health, Safety & Live Environment Control

  • Ensure safe systems of works are implemented on site
  • Ensure safe segregation of works vs guests / staff
  • Promote a strong health, safety and quality culture

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing construction projects from pre-start to completion
  • Ability to lead and coordinate Site Managers, subcontractors and delivery teams
  • Strong programme planning and subcontractor coordination skills
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and sequencing
  • Good commercial awareness including variations and cost control
  • Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and site teams
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities, site compliance, and safe systems of work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain progress under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • CSR / CSCS Card
  • Experience in hotel, healthcare or live environments
