We are seeking an L&D Business Partner to join the wider People and Culture Team supporting the development of individuals both personally and professionally with a focus on increasing the leadership and management capability at Dowds. The L&D Business Partner will work with leaders to assess team needs, recommend learning solutions, and promote a high-performance, people-focused culture.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Leads on the individual and collective development of the Emerging talent and Internal development programmes, ensuring that key learning milestones are achieved.
  • Offers advice and support on apprenticeships for business areas to ensure that apprenticeship levy utilisation is optimised alongside meeting business needs through high quality learning provision.
  • Provide Coaching and support for those on Dowds' talent programmes.
  • To deliver face-to-face training/ online learning as required.
  • Plans a yearly learning curriculum based on the needs of the business and employees.
  • Proactively manages relationships with external suppliers to optimise performance and ensure best value.

What we are looking for:

  • Essential Experience within L&D and exposure with the above list of responsibilities.
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator.
  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Implemented and delivered training programmes.
  • Experience working across different departments on collective and individual projects.
  • Desirable Construction, manufacturing or engineering industry knowledge.
  • Project management qualification.
  • Scrum master Qualified coach.
