We are urgently seeking a Catering Assistant to join the team at Dalriada Hospital. This is a minimum 6-month placement, with a strong possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
This role involves working in a busy hospital kitchen preparing and serving home-cooked style meals, including breakfast items, soups, stews, and other simple hot lunches. Duties will include heating, plating, and serving pre-prepared dishes ensuring food is presented safely and to a high standard.
Shifts will be between 7:00am and 1:00pm and 1:00pm and 5:30pm, working a minimum of 4 shifts per week (20+ hours per week). Flexibility is required, including weekend working.
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday (6am to 8pm): £12.71 per hour
- Monday to Friday (8pm to 6am) & Saturdays: £17.92 per hour
- Sundays: £23.26 per hour
What We Need From You:
- Minimum 6 months Catering or hospitality experience
- Basic food hygiene certificate preferred (training will be provided if not already held)
- Willingness to undergo an Access NI police check
