The Heathers is a welcoming and vibrant community supporting 23 residents across six accommodation groups. Each individual enjoys a level of independence tailored to their needs, whether in their own accommodation with outdoor space or within shared community homes. Our team goes beyond support; we create meaningful experiences, celebrate milestones, and help residents live fulfilling lives.

Activities include:

  • Cinema trips, zoo visits, gym sessions, and local attractions
  • BBQs, birthdays, and community events
  • Seasonal celebrations like St Patrick's Day
  • Supported holidays
  • Hobbies such as singing, dancing, art, and gardening
  • Community groups like Triple A, coffee mornings, exhibitions, and fundraisers
  • Outdoor activities including walks at Gosford Park and sports sessions

About the Role - Team Leader (Day Shift)

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of person-centred care for individuals with complex needs
  • Build trusting relationships and create a safe, supportive environment
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and oversee care plans and risk assessments
  • Support individuals with daily living, independence, and community involvement
  • Work closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies
  • Lead shifts, coordinate staff, and maintain high standards of care and compliance
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff while promoting a positive team culture
  • Ensure effective communication, record-keeping, and participation in reviews
  • Contribute to the smooth running and ongoing improvement of the service
