The Heathers is a welcoming and vibrant community supporting 23 residents across six accommodation groups. Each individual enjoys a level of independence tailored to their needs, whether in their own accommodation with outdoor space or within shared community homes. Our team goes beyond support; we create meaningful experiences, celebrate milestones, and help residents live fulfilling lives.
Activities include:
- Cinema trips, zoo visits, gym sessions, and local attractions
- BBQs, birthdays, and community events
- Seasonal celebrations like St Patrick's Day
- Supported holidays
- Hobbies such as singing, dancing, art, and gardening
- Community groups like Triple A, coffee mornings, exhibitions, and fundraisers
- Outdoor activities including walks at Gosford Park and sports sessions
About the Role - Team Leader (Day Shift)
As a Team Leader, you will:
- Lead the delivery of person-centred care for individuals with complex needs
- Build trusting relationships and create a safe, supportive environment
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and oversee care plans and risk assessments
- Support individuals with daily living, independence, and community involvement
- Work closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies
- Lead shifts, coordinate staff, and maintain high standards of care and compliance
- Support, mentor, and develop staff while promoting a positive team culture
- Ensure effective communication, record-keeping, and participation in reviews
- Contribute to the smooth running and ongoing improvement of the service
