The Stock Manager is responsible for leading the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance function within the Antrim Distribution Centre, ensuring market-leading stock accuracy, inventory integrity and operational quality standards. The role will safeguard inventory performance across all warehouse functions, supporting the efficient flow of stock through the supply chain while minimising losses, errors and operational disruption.

The Stock Manager will lead a team focused on inventory management, cycle counting, root cause analysis, process compliance and continuous improvement, driving operational excellence across the site in line with Frasers Group's pace, ambition and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Control: Provide leadership and direction for all inventory control activities across the distribution centre. Develop and execute robust stock accuracy strategies, ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical stock holdings. Oversee cycle count programmes, stock investigations and annual inventory activities. Monitor inventory performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address discrepancies. Ensure effective management of damaged, returned, quarantined and blocked stock processes. Partner with operational leaders to reduce inventory variances and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance standards across all warehouse functions. Monitor operational compliance against standard operating procedures and company expectations. Conduct regular audits of inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch processes. Lead investigations into quality failures, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Ensure customer and operational quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Leadership & People Management: Lead, coach and develop the stock team, creating a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives and performance expectations for managers and team members. Support talent development, succession planning and colleague engagement initiatives. Promote collaboration across operational departments to improve inventory and quality performance. Act as the subject matter expert for inventory control and quality assurance within the site.
  • Operational Excellence: Analyse inventory and operational data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on stock accuracy, process efficiency and quality enhancement. Support the implementation of warehouse management systems, process improvements and automation initiatives. Ensure inventory control processes support productivity objectives without negatively impacting operational flow. Work closely with Loss Prevention, Operations, Transport and IT teams to optimise site performance.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, operational procedures and audit requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting relating to inventory and quality performance. Support internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed effectively. Champion a culture of compliance, accountability and operational discipline throughout the site.
  • Health & Safety: Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all ICQA activities are conducted in line with health and safety legislation and company requirements. Support incident investigations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Maintain safe working practices across inventory control and audit activities.

Qualifications
  • Significant experience within inventory control, stock management or quality assurance functions in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory management principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in root cause analysis, audit management and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience leading change and implementing process improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capability.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and operational compliance frameworks.
