A Unique Opportunity to Join Bushmills Distillery. Bushmills Distillery is the home of the famous Bushmills Irish Whiskey. It is one of the Causeway Coast's top visitor attractions, receiving approximately 200,000 visitors per year from all over the globe. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team.
The Technician is part of the Maintenance team working across various areas of the Site including Distilling, Blending, Cooperage, Packaging, Warehousing and Projects. The role is responsible for the optimal operation and maintenance of all assets, and the quality of goods leaving the area by performing pro-active and reactive maintenance activities on all assets. This role enables a Continuous Improvement culture through introduction, participation and development of asset care best practice.
To apply you must have the following:
- Recognised Engineering apprenticeship qualification, a City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years experience of working in a Maintenance Manufacturing Environment.
- Understanding of asset performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement skills.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and PPM systems.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and navigate machine manuals.
- Ability to work independently or in a team on problem solving issues.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Compex trained.
- 17th or 18th edition.
- Experience of working with Electrical Motors and Variable Speed Drives.
- Working knowledge of TPM practices.
- PLC Experience & Programmable Skills.
- Knowledge of SAP Engineering Support systems and 5S.
- Experience with TIG & MIG welding.
