Location: Antrim
Hours of work: This is a full-time role working a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekly shifts:
- Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Week 2: 11:30am - 7:30pm
Salary: £29,870 per annum (£16.41/hour)
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
As Depot Supervisor, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily depot activities, supporting drivers and sorters, and ensuring operational standards are maintained across all freight handling processes. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all freight is scanned in line with company procedures
- Supervising depot sorting operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Making sure couriers are dispatched by no later than 8:00am
- Allocating collections to couriers each morning
- Supporting with unsorted freight and depot workflow issues
- Troubleshooting scanner problems and liaising with IT when required
- Managing damaged, misdirected, RTS, and problem freight
- Running depot reports and resolving freight discrepancies with couriers
- Monitoring driver attendance and depot staffing performance
- Ensuring freight loads are distributed appropriately across drivers
- Overseeing depot sorters and ensuring cages are filled correctly
- Processing GLS/ROI freight and drop-in freight
- Handling depot emails and day-to-day operational administration
- Reviewing depot operations to identify and resolve potential issues
Essential Criteria:
- Valid UK Driving licence
- Previous Warehouse/logistics experience
- Previous warehouse supervisory experience
