The Senior Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, managing tenders, and ensuring competitive pricing for projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Analysing project specifications
- Building strong relationships with suppliers
- Sourcing materials
- Collaborating with design and construction teams to assess project feasibility and optimize costs
This is a full-time role with some on-site working but based mostly in the Hillsborough office. The role requires excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
Qualifications
- Strong background in construction cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis (5+ years; 3+ years in UK or RoI market)
- Experience with project management and procurement processes, including tender preparation and supplier negotiations
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding material requirements for stonework and façades
- Proven knowledge in natural stone applications and construction materials is highly desirable
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors effectively
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for estimating and project planning is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus
